The peacock and the crane.

The peacock distributing it a magnificent tail teased the Elevating crane which passed by, deriding an
ashy shade of its plumage and the statement, " I am put on, as king, in gold and violet and all colors of a rainbow; while you have at all colors on your wings. " "However," has answered the Elevating crane; " but I fly up up to heights of heavens and I lift my voice to stars while you go below as the
cock, among birds of a manure heap. " Fine feathers do not do fine birds.
